mindset + meditation
why & how meditation works
Science has proven the many benefits of meditation, ranging anywhere from relieving stress & relieving pain to changes in the brain & even promoting physical healing. While the scientific data from research of meditation for spiritual transformation might be less mainstream, it does exist. A wide variety of many different kinds of meditations are available that can co-exist & compliment each other, instead of feeling like you must choose one or another. Some people also prefer to separate their (private) meditation practice from their spiritual practice, but for me personally, creating a solid meditation practice consisted of finding what resonated with me throughout the years, piecing it together, & using meditation as a tool for mind, body, spirit integration. Like anything new that we are incorporating into our routines, it might feel difficult at first so we might need some extra practice. The discipline & structure to hold ourselves accountable to routines that support our goals that currently exist outside of our comfort zone, might create some resistance. & that’s ok As we become aware of our attempts to sabotage our efforts for the sake of not feeling “good enough,” “ready enough,” or “deserving enough” just because it’s not happening 'fast enough' or 'perfect enough,' we can feel confident that we can face that discouragement with Mindset Management. |
